STANDING TRAP LEAGUE RULES 2018
- Team may carry up to (8) eight persons. All team members must be identified by end of the third night of league shooting. No changes can be made in the team roster after the third night of shooting. An emergency request for a replacement of a shooter will be governed by a minimum of 50% of the team captain’s from within your division, and a Change of Roster form must be completed and signed off on.
- Shooting Averages- Are based on the individual averages for handicap in 16 yard leagues, the first three weeks team scores to determine which division (Div. I Same as A League) the teams are in from high scratch team scores to low team scratch scores. Wins/Losses for the first three weeks will change after the teams are set in there correct Divisions.
- Team captains are responsible completing score sheet with shooters full names prior to shooting each night. Captains after completing score sheet are responsible to turn in sheets with proper shooting fees.
- Starting time for shooting a round: A team must be on the line, ready and shooting within five minutes of their scheduled time! A late team will shoot after league shooting ends or on practice trap (when available) with a penalty of TWO YARDS!
- After first target is fired at, no changes will be made in squad shooting and a late shooter MAY NOT join the team on the trap line after first target is fired at.
- When there is a disputed target, the score’s decision will be final!
- It is the team captain’s or team representative’s responsibility to verify team scores as to the accuracy prior to score sheet being turned in. Once score sheet is turned in, only mathematical errors will be subject to correction. In the case of posting errors, score sheet is official.
- Management misdirection to a team to be handled by club Directors
- Only two gun malfunctions per round of twenty-five is allowed, no matter what the reason. After more than two gun malfunctions the score marker shall score a lost target for all other gun malfunctions.
- All orange targets will be thrown.
- Trap malfunctions: In the event of a trap malfunction, targets that are shot shall be scored as is. Management may reset traps even though other teams have shot. If the trap machine oscillation is left off when a team begins shooting, targets shot shall not count and must be shot over with no additional cost to the team.
- Trap failure: the squad will finish shooting on the practice traps. We may interrupt the practice squad, unless there is a shoot ahead on that practice squad.
- Any unsafe actions or misconduct will not be tolerated on or off the firing line. If this occurs during league competition the shooter will be removed from the trap and his score will be forfeited. The team will then use a blind score to replace the forfeited score.
- NO SHOOTER WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE TRAP LINE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL. NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED ON THE SHOOTING LINES AT ANY TIME! THIS INCLUDES PRACTICE TRAPS AND FIVE-STAND LINE.
- All persons including competitors, referee/scorers, and trap personnel must wear appropriate eye and ear protection while on the trap field. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
- Payment of sponsor fee is due by the end of third week of shooting. If not paid by the start of shooting on the 4th night, the team’s score will be forfeited!
- Shooting ahead no more than two weeks ahead at any given time will be allowed. Please verify all shoot ahead scores. SHOOTING AHEAD ON THE LAST NIGHT OF LEAGUE: Will be covered by individual league rules.
- ATA rules will apply for anything not covered by these rules. Any special situation arising that is not covered by these rules will be resolved by 50% of the team captains from within your league.
- League high gun must not miss more than three shoots. Team high gun must shoot 60% of scheduled shoots.
- Subs must have a minimum of three week average to use for the last night of league shooting (position night).
- Teams involved in shoot-offs will not be accessed shooting fees.
- Position Night: First place will shoot second place, third place will shoot fourth, etc.
Trap 50 Bird Events
Every other Sunday (Sept – May 1st)
Entry Fee $15.00 50 targets
- Scoring is posted electronically on 65″ monitor.
- Standard: Shoot first round, take 3 min break, shoot 2nd round.
- Cold weather option: Shoot first round of 25, warm up, shoot 2nd round of 25.
Beer Birds included
- Along with the green targets, a few black beer birds have been added.
- Each black target hit is good for one beer, soda, or water.
- Receive your beer tickets at the bar.
- The tickets expire the same day of the event at bar close.
- Per ATA rules you do not have to shoot at the off color, black targets.
Options:
Lewis $10.00 Entry Fee
- Entry fee must be paid prior to shooting in any of the events.
- (Each time you shoot a new entry fee must be paid).
- The number of Lewis Classes are determined at the end of the event depending on the amount of entries, generally anywhere from 3 to 6 classes.
- Only the active scores are counted, if a shooter did not enter at sign-up the score is skipped.
Rose $5.00 Entry Fee
- Entry fee must be paid prior to shooting in any of the events.
- (Each time you shoot a new entry fee must be paid).
- Payout is 3-2-1 point system.
- The total money is divided by the total points to determine the amount of each point,
- Then each top high score Rose entry receives 3 points.
- Each 2nd place score Rose entry receives 2 points.
- Each 3rd place score Rose entry receives 1 point.
- The scores are active only if the shooter entered the Rose option on the sign-up sheet.
25’s $5.00 Entry Fee
- Entry fee must be paid prior to shooting in any of the events.
- (Each time you shoot a new entry fee must be paid).
- The purse is divided by the number of active 25’s hit then each 25 is paid that amount.
- The 25 is only active if the shooter entered the option on the sign-up sheet.
50’s $5.00 Entry Fee
- Entry fee must be paid prior to shooting in any of the events.
- (Each time you shoot a new entry fee must be paid).
- The purse is divided by the number of active 50’s hit then each 50 is paid that amount.
- The 50 is only active if the shooter entered the option on the sign-up sheet.
- If a 25 or 50 is not hit the day of the event, the money is carried over to the next 50 Bird Event.
Green Bird $5.00 Entry Fee
- Entry fee must be paid prior to shooting in any of the events.
- (Each time you shoot a new entry fee must be paid).
- The purse is divided by 1 drawing every 6 entries. (Left over amounts will be divided)
- The purse payout is $27 – $38 each, dependent on the number of entries.
- If you have entered, each green bird you break is entered in the drawing, the more you break the more chances you have of winning. (Limit 1 GB win per event)
- Per ATA rules you do not have to shoot at the off color, green targets.
Carry Over
If a 25 or 50 is not hit the day of the event, the money is carried over to the next scheduled event.
Payouts
- The payout list is posted at the club, and website the day after the event ends.
- Payout checks are normally available the day after the event ends.
- If the shooter supplied an address and checked off on the mail list the checks are normally
- mailed on the Wednesday after the event.
- Payout checks are only kept for 6 months, if there is no contact information listed with shooter number.
- Trap practice available depending on the 50 Bird backlog.
5 Stand
Equipment
- One 5 Stand fenced stations.
- 8 Automatic High, Low Target Throwers.
- Stadium lighting ten – 1000 watt MH fixtures total 4,200,000 lumens.
Leagues
Summer Leagues 12 weeks Tue, Wed, & Thurs. Nights. (May 1 thru August 31)
- You can shoot any night the club is open.
- Two person teams.
- Format
- Four Weeks level II – pairs to be shot as report pairs.
- Four Weeks level II – pairs to be shot as true pairs.
- Four Weeks level III – first pair shot as report pair; second pair shot as true pair.
- (Report pairs can be shot as true pairs per shooters preference)
Spring leagues 6 weeks Tue, Wed nights. (March thru end of April)
- You can shoot any night the club is open.
- Individual shooter league.
- All six shoots are to be shot at level II with report pairs.
Indoor Pistol Range

- Two large exhaust fans one for each bay

- All pistol calibers up to and including .44 magnum

Archery
Outdoor 3D Archery Course:
- Rinehart 3D animal targets
- 2 person summer league
- 14 week league shooting at 30 – 3D targets weekly.
- Begins 1st week of May and ends early August.
- Shooters are able to shoot their scores anytime weekly Monday through Sunday at 6 pm.
- Club Member fee discount offered for all league shooters.
- League fee must be paid by all participants by 3rd week of league. Sign-ups begin April 15th.
- Two weekend 3D archery events held annually.
- These shoots are conducted on the last Sundays in July & August. Public Welcome.
- 3D target course open to the public May 1st to October 31.
Outdoor Archery Practice Range:

Indoor Winter Archery League:
- Annual 12 week Thursday night hunter archery league.
- Begins 1st week of January and concludes late March.
- 4 person teams.
- Shooting 42 arrows per person per night at paper animal targets.
- Distances of 10, 15 & 20 yards.
- Team sign ups begin December 15th each year.

Safety
- Safety Glasses and Hearing Protection are MANDATORY.
- Only one (1) shell may be loaded in your gun at any time while shooting your trap event.
- (Some events do allow for two (2) shells, the event coordinator will indicate when this is permissible)
- Shooting may begin when the trap house light is off and your safety glasses and hearing protection is on.
- No drinks are allowed on the trap line or on the gun racks.
- Our facility has numerous gun racks. They are located along the trap line, on the patio and in the clubhouse vestibule. Please store your gun in a rack or in your vehicle.
Membership
- We average 500 + annual members.
- With 100 + Life time members.
